Branch Seminar of Academic Week Held by School of Biopharmacy

The branch seminar of the academic week of China Pharmaceutical University was held by Hua Zichun, Dean of the School of Biopharmacy, at A203 Teaching Building, Jiangning Campus on the afternoon of Nov. 16. Academician Yang Baofeng, former President of Harbin Medical University, was invited to give a lecture entitled “Thinking and Inspiration on Medical Education in China and Russia.” Professor Chen Guo, a new faculty member of our school, made a presentation titled USP13 Driven Tumor Metastasis as a Potential Therapeutic Target for RAS Mutant NSCLC. Besides, Fang Shentong, a specially-appointed researcher, delivered a report titled Vascular Remodeling in Cardiovascular Diseases and Cancer.


At the meeting, Academician Yang elaborated on Russian medical education, introducing the similarities and differences between Chinese and Russian ways of medical education and the inspiration we can draw from it. He specially focused on the challenges and opportunities that our medical education faces. Professor Chen introduced the latest research progress in the treatment of metastatic NSCLC mutation. Researcher Fang explained in detail the occurrence process and pathological changes of cardiovascular diseases in human bodies. During the communication session, the students actively asked questions and interacted with the lecturers, benefiting a lot from the seminar. Finally, after Dean Hua’s summary, the meeting was successfully concluded with warm applause.


The academic week seminars are one of the activities to celebrate the 86th anniversary of our university, which were held both online and offline. Notably, each offline meeting was packed, receiving warm responses. The seminars serve to broaden the academic horizons for the students and teachers involved and carry a positive significance for the advancement of scientific research in our school.
