On the afternoon of November 28, China Pharmaceutical University Academic Week -- an academic conference at the branch venue of the School of Biopharmacy was successfully held at the Jiangning Campus School Teaching Building E105. Professor Pan Jingxuan of Sun Yat-sen University, a National outstanding youth fund recipient, was invited to give a special lecture called “National Natural Science Foundation Application Writing Skills and Precautions” for our teachers and students. The conference was presided over by Professor Chen Guo from the School of Biopharmacy.
At the conference, Professor Pan Jingxuan first introduced the types of national funds, and for the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Professor Pan introduced writing techniques in turn from the perspective of writing style, title, abstract, background description of the text, etc. in detailed, He also pointed out the matters that need to be avoided. Finally, Professor Pan emphasized that applying for a fund is only one part of the entire scientific research activity. Scientists must accumulate over a long period of time, withstand loneliness, and are willing to make selfless contribution. During the interactive exchange session of the presentation, researchers from various colleges actively asked questions and interacted positively the participants benefited greatly. The conference ended successfully with warm applause.
