On the morning of September 23, China Pharmaceutical University Academic Week -- an academic conference at the branch venue of the School of Biopharmacy was successfully held at D212 in the Jiangning Campus School Teaching Building. Professor Wang Jun, the National outstanding youth fund recipient and dean of the School of Biology and Biological Engineering at South China University of Technology, was invited to give a special lecture called “Immune Nanoadaptors and Antibody Delivery” for our teachers and students. The conference was presided over by Professor Chen Guo from the School of Biopharmacy.
At the conference, Professor Wang Jun first analyzed the current treatment status of monoclonal drugs and shared his latest research results in this field with us, a nano-adaptor platform technology, that is, by incubating nanoadaptors with monoclonal antibody drugs, bispecific nanoantibodies can be prepared in a convenient, efficient, and controlled manner to achieve “multivalence”, “multispecificity” and “multifunctionality” of monoclonal antibodies. It is expected that the clinical efficacy of monoclonal antibodies will be greatly improved, and more clinically used or developed monoclonal antibody drugs will be applied to tumor treatment. Professor Wang emphasized on explaining the huge promise of antibody drugs in tumor treatment. During the interactive exchange session of the conference, participants actively asked questions, teachers and students interacted positively, and the participants benefited greatly from this conference. The conference ended successfully with warm applause.
In this offline branch venue conference of the School of Biopharmacy of this academic week, all seats were occupied, and the participants had a warm response. The holding of the conference helped teachers and students broaden their academic horizons and carry a positive significance for the advancement of scientific research in our college.
